Ca in fiecare an , jumatatea mea primeste un cadou handmade de Ziua Indragostitilor .

Nici acest an nu putea fi diferit....doar ca acum nu mai e nimic patchwork ci e pur si simplu frivolite .

O inimioara micuta-micuta, lucrata in ata de cusut , putin mai groasa decit media.

Each year for Valentine's Day, my beloved half receives a handmade gift.

It couldn't be much different this year, only that now isn't any patchwork piece but a frivolite one.

Iarna grea...si foarte friguroasa.

Heavy winter.....and extremely cold.

Multa zapada....ba chiar foarte multa. In repetate rinduri.

A lot of snow....too much, I can say. Repeteadly.

Pot spune ca am scapat ieftin , pina acum, doar cu un copac doborit si un gard rupt de la zapada cazuta de pe acoperisul vecinilor.

I can say that we get out cheap, untill now, only with a fallen tree and a broken fence from the snow downpour from neighbors roof.

Dupa atita alb infinit , zapada si gheata, visez incontinuu la primavara.....la verde, mult verde .

After all this infinite white , snow and ice, I'm dreaming continue at spring....green, a lot of green.

Si un cadou pentru prietena mea , Geta . Tot in verde. Altfel de verde ;) Un verde nastrusnic, proaspat si revigorant.

Si din acelasi site, un alt model gratuit care m-a innebunit de la prima vedere
And from the same site , another free pattern that get me crazy at the first sight . I transformed it into a luxury oversized ring.

Aceasta garoafa insumeaza , doar primele doua rinduri din model , 1440 noduri duble....adica cam doua dupa-mese de lucru . Daca nu ar fi atit de incet, poate ca l-as reface in multe alte culori....

This carnation is made of 1440 tatted double knots. And I made only the first two rows of the pattern....it took me two evenings to finish....if it wouldn't be so much work perhaps I would do it in various colours.

Ne auzim in curind ;), sunt intr-o dispozitie de milioane....de creatii ;)

Sunt bucuroasa. Atit de bucuroasa !

Am PRIMUL meu ghem de ata Lizbeth ( :D un zimbet maaare ) . Mi-am dorit de atit de mult timp sa vad, sa ating, sa am ata aceasta de care toata lumea tatting-ului vorbeste ca fiind cea mai buna. In final am si eu primul ghem. :)

I've got my very FIRST ball of Lizbeth thread. (big smile ) . I wanted for so much time to see, touch and have this thread of which all the tatters are saying it's the best. Finally I've got my first ball. :)

Pentru ca locuieste atit de aproape de mine - orasul vecin - si pentru ca ne intelegem atit de bine, am facut impreuna cu Mary ( ea e in dreapta in imagine )

As she lives so close to me - next city - , and we get so well together, I made, together with Mary ( she's in right side of the picture)

o comanda micuta la Roseground - UK. Citeva navete, pentru mine una Lacis si una Starlit si acel frumos ghem de ata neagra Lizbeth. Pentru care sunt mai mult decit incintata. Trebuie sa mai cumpar citeva ...colorate :D

Mary si-a dorit o naveta Starlit si una speciala pentru lucrul cu margele - Tatsy. Am fost socata cind am vazut o naveta de asemenea dimensiuni enorme, dar ea este fericita si abia asteapta sa poata lucra din nou tatting imediat ce operatia de la deget va deveni o amintire indepartata....

Mary did want a Starlit one and that super-big Tatsy shuttle for beads. I was in shock seeing such an enormous device , but she is happy and keen to work with it as soon as her finger surgery became a faded memory....

Apoi am avut ocazia sa le intilnim si vizitam pe dna Floare Roman ( stinga) si prietena ei dna Victoria Stef ( dreapta ) amindoua mari iubitoare de tatting cu o istorie si experienta imensa in domeniu.

Then we have the opportunity to meet and make a visit to Mrs. Roman Floare ( left ) and her friend Mrs. Victoria Stef ( right ) , also two tatting-lovers, with a huge past in this art.

Am petrecut o seara minunata, relaxanta. Mincare gustoasa, o multime de risete si un timp minunat petrecut impreuna . A fost de fapt o continua expozitie de lucrari , ale fiecaruia...atitea minunatii realizate din noduri micute si ata frumos colorata.

Am gasit in cutia de tatting a lui Mary, aceasta frumoasa garoafa pe care mi-am pus-o in par. M-am indragostit pe loc de model.

We spend quite a beautiful and relaxing evening together. Good food, a lot of laughs and so much good time.

Was a continuous show-and-tell of works....so many beauties that are made with tiny knots and coloured threads. I found in Mary's tatting box this beautiful red carnation, and I put it in my hair. Loved it.

Ajunsa acasa, i-am cerut lui Mary modelul . Am aflat ca este free, pe pagina dnei Georgia Seitz.

Deci, nu mi-a ramas mult de gindit, nu ?

M-am asezat rapid la lucru si am vrut sa golesc aceasta naveta care era incarcata cu un fir Valdani care m-a dezamagit, nefiind potrivit pentru lucrul cu naveta. Si cum eu nu pot sa arunc pur si simplu nici un capat de ata, mi-am zis : " Ia sa-mi amintesc cum se lucreaza tatting-ul cu acul " :)

Si dupa cum vedeti ...cu siguranta nu mi se potriveste. Ador sa lucrez cu naveta. Si cu ata buna ;)

So , arrived at home, I asked her for the pattern. Found out that it's a free one on Mrs. Georgia Seitz page.

So ...not to much to think, right ?

I wanted to empty a shuttle that had a Valdani thread inside. Thread that bother me a lot, because it's not suitable for shuttle tatting. I can't waste any thread ( :D) so I wanted to discard it in an efficient way .

I said : "let's remember how the needle tatting is done" :).

Well as you can see....I'm certainly not a needle tatter.....the shuttle is my love. And good thread ;)

Asa ca mi-am pus noua naveta Lacis la lucru, cu niste ata romaneasca, rosie si am inceput modelul de garoafa. A trebuit in final sa invat sa lucrez un "split chain" in metoda naveta-ghem. Nu a fost foarte greu, necesita practica. Oare de ce il ocoleam intr-atit ? hmmm...

I put my new Lacis shuttle at work with some red thread ( a romanian brand) and start the carnation pattern...I had to learn finally the split chain with ball and shuttle method...nothing too heavy, just a little practice needed. Why did I go around it for so much time ? hmmm...

Am ajuns doar la al doilea rind....pentru ca azi nu e o zi buna de tatting pentru mine....ochii imi sunt obositi. Poate ca voi lasa restul pentru miine....

Voi aveti astfel de zile ? si ce faceti atunci ? renuntati ? sau mergeti mai departe ?

I'm just at the second row...but today isn't a good day for me to tat...my eyes are tired. Perhaps I'll let the rest of it for tomorrow....do you have such days ? what do you do then ? quit ? or keep going ?

Sunt o persoana loiala. In dragoste, prietenie sau orice altceva. ...cum ar fi hobby-urile, de exemplu....cu toate acestea am invatat ca o pauza de sarbatori , in care nu am facut nici macar un nod frivolite, nu imi este binevenita. Mi-am pierdut practica...Am reinceput de la zero , incercind cu greu sa stapinesc tensionarea corecta cu acest semn de carte "Rebecca's Colossian bookmark".
I'm a faithful person. A strong one. In love, friendship or anything else...like hobbies, for example....even so, I learnt that a holiday break with no - at least - one tatting knot, isn't welcome for me....I lost my practice....
Re-started and tried hard to manage tension - badly as you can see below- with this Rebecca's Colossian bookmark in rusted-brown thread ( cotton perle nr.8 ) .

apoi, cu incalzirea facuta, am fost mai mult decit pregatita sa incep un alt semn de carte, acelasi model doar pentru ca mi-a placut cu adevarat . Se potriveste perfect in interiorul unei carti de dimensiuni normale . Aici in stadiul de blocking si apretare :

Credeam ca sunt gata sa incep o linie de semne de carte frivolite ( haha ) asa ca , plina de incintare, am cumparat modelul "Tatted Cross" a lui Elizabeth Zipay si.....m-am indragostit :) . Atit de micut si de delicat...M-a vrajit. Da-da...deja ma vad refacind acest model in multe-multe culori ;)....in curind.

I thought that I was setting a future tatted bookmarks line , ( lol) so I bought Elizabeth Zipay's "Tatted Cross " pattern and ...fell in love with it :). So tiny and delicate....I'm hooked. Yep. I can see myself making this one in lots of colors ;)...very soon.

Ce-mi ramine de facut ? frivolite in fata focului, pace si liniste....ca sa uit vremea mohorita de afara.

Am inceput un fir ce l-am primit de la Lotus, o marca italiana, extrem de fina. Chiar daca eticheta spune ca este cotton perle nr. 8 , acest fir este mult mai delicat si mai subtire decit oricare alt nr. 8 cu care am mai lucrat. O frumusete de fir !

What's left to do ? some tatting in front of the fire, calm and serenity....to forgot the outside weather.

I took a thread that I received from Lotus, an Italian brand cotton perle, extremely fine . Even that the label says it's a nr. 8 size , this is more delicate and thinner than any other nr. 8 that I worked with. Beautiful !

Am inceput un model simplu, nu-i stiu denumirea, dar stiu ca l-am iubit de la bun inceput.

I started a simple pattern, don't know the name of it, but I know that I love it from the beginning.

Atit de fin si de delicat....si il voi iubi pina la sfirsit. Din nou....loiala....

So fine and delicate....love it to the end. Again...faithful....

Nu-mi pare deloc rau ca nu am adaugat margele pe parcurs...Nu-mi plac margelele in exces in frivolite, consider ca ii aduce o defavoare. Acest colier va avea, totusi, o margea centrala, ce va fi adaugata la final. Inca auditionez stocul de margele. Trebuie sa fie una care sa mi se potriveasca foarte bine....deoarece, ei bine, deoarece acest colier va fi al meu si numai al meu :D

In ultima vreme m-a lovit o ciudata dragoste de bijuterii....da-da, pe mine, femeia care de atitia ani poarta acelasi inel, aceeasi bratara si aceeasi cercei. Mda, sunt loiala . :))

I'm not at all sorry for not adding some beads along it.....I don't like heavy beading in tatting, I consider that's in the last one's deficit...This necklace will have a focal bead added at the end...still auditioning all my beads stash. It must be one that suits me well....because, well, because it will be all mine :D .

Lately I was hit by quite a strange jewelry-love....me, the one that wears the same ring, bracelet and earrings since so many years. Yep, I'm that faithful :))

Inainte de toate va arat un model super-usor si rapid de fulg de nea frivolite, model cumparat de la Romana.
First of all an easy-peasy super fast tatted snowflake...bought from Romana.

am simtit dorinta de a modifica putin modelul ( alungind piciorusele de la cercurile mici ) si am obtinut astfel un fulg de nea mai "aerat " , mai delicat....

I feel the desire to modify just a little bit ( elongating the legs for the small circles ) achieving a more aired look of the snowflake. Like this :

dar imi plac atit de mult ambele modele incit , in viitor, veti vedea o multime din acestia pe aici ;). Ba chiar si colorati ;)...

but I love both models so you'll see here a lot of these in the future :). Colored, too. ;)

Intre timp am terminat o comanda de doua seturi pentru fiicele unei prietene, seturi identice cu cele anterioare doar ca de data aceasta unul din ele este albastru. Si a iesit minunat pe albastru. Imi place !

Meanwhile I did finish two sets for a friend, the same as the previous ones sets, but this time one of them is worked in blue thread . And it result beautifully. I love it .

Si pentru mine , am facut o super-simpla si foarte din poliester bratara . ha-ha...nu se uda, nu se murdareste....pot lucra in gradina, pot spala vase, pot face dus sau inota cu ea....
And for me I worked a super-duper simple and very poliester bracelet LOL....it doesn't go wet, it doesn't go dirty....I can garden, wash dishes, shower, swim ...whatever.

Tattingul cu poliester este un cosmar....aceasta este prima si ultima piesa lucrata in poliester. Dar, hei, e a mea si sunt mindra de ea. Sau cu ea ;).
Tatting with poliester it's a nightmare....this will be the first and the last . But hey, it's mine :D and I'm proud of it. Or with it. ;)

Cind prietena mea mi-a spus ca imi va trimite mai repede cadoul de ziua mea, am intrebat-o rizind : "-ce e ? "

De cind am cunoscut-o pe Csilla m-a rasfatat an dupa an cu surprize ...de ziua mea, de Craciun , de Paste...asa un suflet mare. Ei bine, dati-mi voie sa va prezint cele 90 grame :D...

When my friend told me that she will send sooner my birthday present I asked her laughing "- what is it ? "

- " 90 grams ", she answered....

I know that since I met her for the first time she spoiled me year after year....birthdays, Christmases, Easters....such a big heart .

Am cumparat o cutie pentru depozitarea lor , marca Prym , precum si o forfecuta metalica Storch ....aveam mare nevoie de ea :D.

Am o sumedenie de foarfeci, mari si mici, dar mi-am dorit-o nespus pe ACEASTA pentru tatting. ;).

I buyed an embroidery thread box - Prym - and a Storch scissor.....I just needed it :D....

I do have a LOT of scissors but I badly wanted THIS one. For tatting ;).

Acum stau in fata focului si imi aranjez bucuroasa atele in cutie....am doar o mica problema : nu incap toate intr-o singura cutie :))

Now I'm sitting in front of the fire and I'm arranging the threads in my new box. I have just a little problem : they don't fit all in just one :))

Si deasemenea astept sa se usuce piesa aceasta....cine a spus ca tatting-ul este usor ?? aici puteti numara aproximativ 280 de ace infipte ....

Chocolate Waves

In ultimul timp nu am fost cuminte, m-am dat serios la ciocolata. Sub toate formele : tableta, bomboane, crema....atit de serios incit am transpuns mica mea dragoste subita in :

"Valuri de ciocolata" ....

un alt sal din voal, cu aceleasi 7 benzi plisate pe toata lungimea lui de 2,0m .

Lately I'm not at all a good girl , I got seriously into chocolate. Any shape : tablet, candy, cream ....so seriously that I transposed my little suddenly love into :

"Chocolate waves "...

Chocolate -...brown. Simple as that . :D

Luna trecuta am participat la un concurs pe forumul Hobby-handmade cu aceste doua quilturi miniatura .

Last month I participate in another contest in the Hobby -handmade forum, with these two miniatures quilts.

si am cistigat locul 3 primind aceste minunate piese lucrate de Gaby Erika . Ciocolata ...nu a mai ajuns in poza :D

Un cadou surpriza din partea sotului meu este aceasta virtelnita, cu o virsta impresionanta de peste 100 ani, virtelnita pe care a lucrat strabunica lui . Mi-a devenit automat foarte draga ....trebuie sa ii fac o baie sanatoasa si sa o pun la lucru....poarta in ea urma anilor multi si a micilor reparatii ...poate o sa-mi spuna o poveste , incet, invirtindu-se....
An unexpected gift form my husband is this thread reel , with an resonable age over 100 years. A reel that belonged to his great-grandmother. Instantly it become very dear to me. I must give it a big scrub and then put it to work....it carries the mark of so many years and of small repairs...maybe it will tell me a story, slowly, spinning....

Acum , de cind cu frigul si cu raceala mea, am nevoie de mincare "de comfort" : o jumatate de pui la cuptor acompaniat de cartofi copti cu mujdei de usturoi....si un pahar de vin alb ;) Chiar comfortabil, nu ? ;)
Now since this cold weather and my cold condition, I need some "comfort" food : a half of a green farm-chicken grilled on the oven and some baked potatoes with garlic sauce. And a white wine glass ;). Quite comfortable, ha ? ;)

si evident nevoia de un desert la fel de "comfort " ( putina practica inainte de Craciun nu strica niciodata, nu ? ) unde mai pui ca e primul meu cozonac copt in soba cu lemne -de aceea e mai ars :))
and obviously the need of a same "comfort" desert ( a little practice before Christmas doesn't hurt anyone,no ? ) and the important fact is that I bake this roll-cake for the first time in my wood stove...that's why is a little burnt :))

Afara e rece si innorat....chiar foarte rece....vreme tocmai buna pentru o ciorba fierbinte de cartofi cu smintina si salata de ceapa cu otet. Foarte gustoasa...

Outside is cloudy and cold....really cold. Just a fine weather for a hot potatoes soup with cream and sour onion salad. Yummy....

Si ceva dulce trebuie, nu ? cornulete umplute cu magiun si simburi de nuca ...ambele productie proprie ;)

Something sweet was also needed, no ? rolls filled with plum jam and nuts ...both from our garden ;)

the rolls were baked in the wood stove....my magic wood stove....

netavalite prin zahar pentru ca si asa sunt destul de dulci....simple si gustoase ca orice prajitura de casa.

De cind am descoperit firul Bossanova, hypoalergenic - deci mai mult decit perfect pentru mine ;) - nu ma mai pot opri din tricotat esarfe. De data aceasta va arat ultimele doua .

Gri -cenusa, o culoare superba care se potriveste minunat la gitul unei doamne cu parul grizonat . Poate sa fie si o tinara cu buzele vopsite in rosu aprins ;) .

Moale, pufoasa si atit de usoara....un vis....poate fi purtata in diferite moduri : esarfa simpla prinsa cu brosa accesoriu ( din imagine ) , innodata in jurul gitului, aruncata peste un umar sau atirnind lung in fata....dispozitia voastra este cea care o "modeleaza"...esarfa doar va pune in valoare frumusetea. ;)

Since I discovered the Bossanova thread, hypolargenic - more than perfect for me ;) - I can't stop from knitting scarves. This time I'll show you the last two I've made.

Ash-Grey, a beautiful color that suits wonderfully a grey-hair lady. It can be also a young lady with painted red lips.

Lightweight, fluffy....a dream....it can be worn in several ways, simple as any scarf closed with the brooch ( in the image ) , knotted around the neck, flip over the shoulder,etc....your mood "models" it ....the scarves only show out the best of you . ;)

Chiar daca munca depusa a fost imensa ( surfilatul marginilor cu pas minim, rulat, pentru 55m lungime ) mi-a facut o deosebita placere sa il vad la final...sa il asez pe Monique - manechinul meu care, chiar daca nu are brate, a incercat sa redea cit mai bine frumusetea lui .

Then I re-made the black ruflled shawl on veil. 2 meters long by 56 cm width.

Even that the work for making it was tremendous ( over-locking along 55 meters with minimal stitch ) I was extremely pleased to see it finished. I love the way it covers Monique - even that my dummy doesn't have arms - and show off the entire beauty of it.

Acum ma gindesc la un sal de culoarea ciocolatei....voi ce spuneti ? sau imi sugerati alta culoare care s-ar potrivi acestui model ?

Apropo : toate produsele le gasiti in magazinul meu, active sau vindute ;).

The second competition organised in the forum was about Tatting Days, where I joined in, even that I am still a beginner in tatting. I entered my Blue Tatted Drawstring bag in the competition among the works of a few advanced tatters ( Lotus, Maria, Mihaela ) and to my great surprise I won the first place.

The story of the Blue tatted evening pouch .

Totul a inceput de aici, de la acest model gasit intr-o revista

Everything started from here, from this model found on a magazine

in alegerea mea, cu ata albastru electric, modelul arata asa :

in my thread choice - electric blue - the model looks like this :

apoi a inceput sa creasca si sa creasca ....

and then it grows and grows...

Apoi a urmat constructia saculetului propriu zis din saten burgund inchis, cu captuseala interioara identica, cu intaritura termocolanta pe treimea de jos. Apoi am cusut banda de frivolite care - in optica mea - "cerea" ceva...margelute, paiete....moment de grea decizie...

Then followed the real construction of the so named pouch . Made in dark burgundy saten, with identical interior lining and fusible insert. Then I sewed the frivolite lace that - in my opinion - "asked" for something like beads, confetti....hard time for a decision....

Apoi am taiat jos margelutele ...."mai putin inseamna mai mult" este o regula de aur pentru mine ;)

Then I cut out the beads just because for me the saying "less is more" is a golden one ;)

Totusi gentuta era prea simpla....am decis sa ii adaug o alta banda de frivolite sus la gura. De data aceasta o banda ingusta...care a iesit prea ingusta asa ca m-am vazut nevoita sa o "largesc" ...fara model, doar niste lanturi si inele. Am invatat cu ocazia aceasta tehnica "shuttle joint" si " ring on chain" . Simpatice tehnici, sunt incintata sa invat lucruri noi oricind.

Dantela rezultata se infoaie si se ridica dupa propria ei vointa atunci cind saculetul este strins la gura .

Still , the bag was too simple....I decided to add another thin border at the mouth....it was too thin so that I have to make it larger....no pattern, just some simple chains and rings on chains....I learnt at this point the "shuttle joint" and the "ring on chain" technique. Pretty nice, I'm happy to learn new things anytime.

The resulted lace pouf out and moves by her own desire when the pouch is string-closed.

Aceasta este. Sper sa va placa . :)

Ei bine, tatting-ul nu este dragoste de-o vara....uite ca a venit si toamna si eu inca innod.....

o pereche de cercei in culoarea mea preferata. Cu mici margelute seed-beads. Agatatori cuprate.

Well, tatting isn't an one summer love....autumn is already here and I'm still making knots....

A pair of earrings in my favorite color. Small seed-beads added. ( it's a first try , must learn better beading ) . Copper hooks.

Si pentru ca am invatat din patchwork sa folosesc orice UFO ;) , din resturi si incercari nereusite am "adunat " aceasta brosa . Fir poliamida - auriu si bumbac - verde. Pina acum este brosa mea preferata. Delicata asa cum numai o dantela frivolite poate sa fie....

And because I learnt from patchwork to use every UFO that I have, from some scraps and unsuccessful pieces I gathered together in a pretty much my favorite brooch. Polyamide golden thread and green cotton. As delicate as a frivolite lace can be....

Ieri am incercat si un alt fel de fir, Flavia, mult mai gros decit firele pt frivolite, in incercarea de a da "corp" urmatorului set , Simply Black.

And yesterday I tried another kind of thread, much thicker than regular tatting thread , to give some "body" for the next set , named Simply Black. Upset that I can't find good tatting thread in my country....it's still a lost art here....So sad.

Padantivul este agatat pe o baza de colier din sirma siliconata, neagra, cu inchidere surub din inox. Cerceii au agatatoare din inox. Piesele sunt egale ca marime, au diametrul de 4,5cm .

The pendant is mounted on a siliconed wire black base , with a inox twist closing. The earrings have inox hooks. All pieces are equal in size, 4,5cm diameter.

Si cum viata mai consta si in treburi casnice, uite ce a aterizat in bucataria mea ;). Sunt fericita, au aparut din nou ciupercile in zona noastra...Deja la ora aceasta sunt curatate, taiate si congelate. Atit de gustoase...

And as life compress some household chores, look what landed in my kitchen this morning. ;) . I'm SO happy that mushrooms appear again in my part of country....Already cleaned, chopped and in the freezer.

Incep cu acesta care este de fapt un colt, atipic, din ..bucataria mea total atipica ..ha-ha !

de fapt, in intregime coltul respectiv arata asa ...poate intr-o zi am sa va arat si coltul diametral opus ;)

Dupa cum va spuneam in postul anterior , am devenit foarte pasionata de tatting. Am renuntat complet la metoda pe ac si am trecut la navete....primele mele navete au cap de croseta in virf .

As I previously told you, I become addicted to tatting.

I completely renounced to needle-tatting method and pass on to shuttles. My first ones have a crochet hook in one end, like this...

si am inceput sa fac modele putin mai complicate ( pentru mine, ca incepator , inca multe sunt complicate LOL)

and started to tat a little more complicated patterns

( for me, as a beginner, there are still a lot too complicated LOL )

apoi am cumparat aceste doua navete ,marca Clover , de care sunt ab-so-lut indragostita :D ( si din care trebuie sa imi mai iau vreo doua ;) )
after some days I bought these two shuttles, Clover brand, of which I'm totally IN LOVE with. ( must buy some more ;) )

Evident ca si modelele realizate s-au transformat si au devenit :

In ultimele zile a plouat continuu....si a fost extrem de rece....

Nu excelez in bucatarie la capitolul deserturi...retetele mele de "baza" le pot numara pe degetele de la ambele miini ....De ceva vreme am descoperit-o pe Ioana si retetele ei grozave iar ieri am incercat ceva nou. Simplu si foaaaarte bun .

Last days were chilly and rainy....better said : extremely cold for July....

I'm not a specialist in kitchen for deserts...I can count on both hands fingers my favorite recipes tried along time ....Some while ago I found Ioana and her great recipes....so yesterday I tried something new. Simple and verrry good. Fast mini donuts. Thank you, Ioana !

le-am asortat gemul Cherry Compote ...pentru mine citeva tavalite prin zahar pudra :D, pentru jumatatea mea simple...
I assorted beside the Cheery Compote ....for me I rolled some donuts in powder sugar, for my half left simple....

au iesit fabuloase....umflate si pufoase....iar inmuiate in gem sunt un vis linga cafea ( pentru el ) sau ceai ( pentru mine )....
they came out fabulous....puffy and soft....and "soaked" in jam those are a pure dream near coffee ( for him) or tea( for me ) .....

Alt capitol : bluza mea inceputa saptamina trecuta a ajuns la aceasta faza . Sunt la ultimul scul si e evident ca nu imi va ajunge....imi plac bluzele lungi plus ca mai am de facut gulerul si accesoriile ...hmmm....

Another chapter : my raglan knitted blouse that I started last week looks like this. I'm at the last hank and obviously it will not be enough just because I love longer blouses and also I have to knitt the collar and the accesories...hmmm....

Si pentru ca ploaia siroia necontenit si afara era frigggg....s-au nascut doua esarfe din materiale de tricot fine...bune si vara, bune si in restul anului.....( ambele sunt deja in magazin )
And because was raining buckets and so cold....two Infinity scarfs were born, too.....made in tricot fabric, soft and fine....good for summer and for the rest of the year, too.

Se anunta o schimbare a vremii in bine doar peste doua zile....pina atunci tot rece si ploaie....poate mai incerc vreo reteta, poate mai am vreo idee.....ramineti pe aproape.
A weather improvement is announced in two days.....until then still rain and cold....maybe I'll try some new recipe, maybe a new ideea will be born...keep in touch.

De citeva zile m-am lasat vrajita din nou de crosetat... si am cerut ajutorul Elenei pentru un... circel :D
O incercare rapida, cu o lina ce aveam la indemina, si iata rezultatul :
Last days I let myself charmed again by crochet....and I asked for help at Elena for.. a curlicue :D. A fast try with a wool that I have on hand, and this is the result :

Apoi , evident ca am vrut sa mai incerc si alte floricele si frunzulite ...cind iau croseta in mina sunt de neoprit. Mi-am re-amintit de vremurile trecute cind crosetam o multime de brose si coliere....
Then, obviously I wanted to try more flowers and leaves....when I took the crochet hook in hand I'm instoppable. I remembered the past times when I crocheted a lot of brooches and necklaces.....

Si nu se putea sa nu se formeze , din incercari , si o brosa, nu-i asa ? :))
And a brooch just came out from all the tryings :

Apoi mi-a venit pofta sa tricotez....cumparasem cu citeva luni bune inainte, din magazin de la Csilla , niste lina superba neagra, marca Barka - Diplomat cu compozitie 80% merino +20 % par de camila care nu-si gasea nicicum vreun scop....si iata ce s-a intimplat peste noapte:

Then I wanted badly to knit....I buyed several months ago from Csilla's shop some wonderful black wool Barka brand, model Diplomat - 80% merino+20 % camel hair - that didn't find it's way ....so look what happened over night :

O bluzita simpla, raglan , inceputa pe ac circular nr.4, pe 120 ochiuri .....Bluza care va avea un accesoriu crosetat pe unul din umeri....cred ca va fi o ramurica de circei si frunzulite....sau poate va fi o brosa uni, complexa, detasabila....inca nu sunt foarte decisa... mai am destul timp sa fac planuri pina ajung la finalul bluzei :))....

Tot aseara , cautind o metoda eleganta , invizibila, de trecere la al doilea scul de lina , am dat peste acest video foarte bun pentru schimbarea culorii sau a firului. Merita, credeti-ma !deja am pus in practica ideea si nu pot sa spun decit ca sunt incintata. Pe fata lucrarii nu se vede absolut nimic, totul e ascuns elegant pe spate...

A simple raglan blouse, casted on 4mm circular needle with 120 stitches. The blouse will have some crocheted accesories on one shoulder, perhaps a cluster of curlicues and leaves, or perhaps will have just a big complex flower brooch...I'm not sure yet, I have plenty of time till finish.

Rosiile din mini-solarii o duc bine. Urmez, ca in fiecare an, metoda "fara frunze la baza" pentru o mai buna productie....stiu ca arata cam chele dar asteptati si o sa vedeti mai tirziu rezultatele ;)
The mini-solarium inside tomatoes are still ok . I am just following my "no bottom leaves" method for better production... kind of bald but...just wait and see later. ;)

Unele din ele deja poarta fruct...chiar un miracol la ora aceasta dupa ce au trecut prin marele inghet care mi-a atins si sufletul meu....diferite soiuri, unele pentru sosuri altele pentru mincat...unele mari altele mici...unele rotunde altele tuguiate....

Some tomatoes are already bearing fruits ....kind of miracle after that big frost the frozen even my heart....different kinds , some for sauces or some for eating....big or small , round or pointed....

Totusi exista o diferenta enorma intre plantele de rosii. In imaginea din stinga sunt rosiile crescute de mine din seminte ( care au rezistat inghetului ascunse sub sticlele de plastic ) iar in imaginea din dreapta sunt rosiile cumparate rasaduri din piata. Ce ziceti, se vede diferenta ?
Am sapat doua santuri printre ele pentru o udare mai buna. Mai convenient pentru mine, mai sanatos pentru ele .

I just dig some ditches among them for watering....more convenient for me, more healthier for them.

The barrel potatoes are doing just fine ...keep my fingers crossed for those pocket gophers to not find the way to them ! I'm dreaming of a big bowl of home-made fried-potatoes....home-made junk food :)) Yeah!

Citeva frumuseti care cresc si cresc....sincer, nu stiu ce e acesta , a rasarit pur si simplu din compostul ce l-am pus in strat....banuiesc ca e un pepene rosu.....vom avea destui din astia :D

Imi merge bine...am chef de cusut si nu numai atit : si finalizez ceea ce cos. :))

I'm feeling great...I am eager to sew and also I do finish what I sew. :))

Dintr-o mina de bucatele de materiale superbe RobertKaufman, primite ca deobicei de la Geta , am facut un joc de triunghiuri echilaterale in doua culori : rosu si crem . Materialele au irizatii aurii .

From a handfull of scraps - RobertKaufman- received as usually from Geta , I set ups some red and cream equilateral triangles. The fabric has golden accents.

Partea cea mai placuta a fost , bineinteles, quiltingul . Am inceput cu un quiltuing liniar cu piciorusul walking-foot, dar am trecut la dragostea mea cea mare : free-motion-ul . Sus ata YLI Invisible Thread Transparent, dedesubt ata de bumbac alba .

The most pleasant part was , of course, the quilting. I started with some liniar quilting with the walking-foot but quickly I pass on to my great love : free-motion. I use for the up side YLI Invisible Thread Clear and in the bobin white cotton thread.

si la final, dintr-o mica greseala de taiere am avut parte si de cusut manual ( binding-ul ) . O adevarata placere cusutul manual. Mi-e dor sa cos cu mina un proiect ca acesta )

And because I wrong cut the width of the binding I have the pleasure to sew it by hand on the back . A real pleasure . (I miss to work by hand on a project like this )

Bunatati din gradina. Ridichi si spanac . Ambele baby. Crocante si suculente. Gustoase...

Ceapa si sparanghel. La fel de crocante si de gustoase ;)
Green onions and asparagus. The same crunchy-ness and yummy-ness ;)

Primele virfuri de sparanghel erau movulii...le-am "descoperit" cu mare bucurie dupa un an de asteptari...

The first shots of asparagus were purple...such a joy to see them after a year of waiting...

Cultura de sparanghel din gradina noastra este de-abia in al doilea an, dar deja anul aceasta am recoltat de mai multe ori citeva manunchiuri . Nu sunt egale in dimensiuni ca si cele din magazin, dar sunt super-gustoase. Si crocante si zemoase, v-am mai spus asta, nu ? :))

The asparagus crop from our garden is it just in its second year, but still, this year we manage to gathered several times a few bunches of . Not equal in size as the supermarket ones, but these are really tasty. And juicy and crunchy, did I mention that ? :))

Nature has a tremendous power....and it's no good to compete with it.
After several days of bad weather and cold ( very cold ) nights I lost almost all the tomatoes, pumpkins and peppers seedlings....I've done since far a lot of work for nothing....I have to start again but I don't have with what : I've saved just a few....and I'm not at all feeling in power to start again right now....
And today we had to confront the bad news that even the nut trees are frozen, too.....
...so here you'll have just photos because I just can't say anything more....

Oh, da ! primavara a ajuns in final si aici doar ca eu nu am avut timp sa o salut asa cum trebuie. Am fost foarte ocupata.

Citeva narcise....parfumate sau nu. Crete sau simple. Toate frumoase in felul lor unic.

Oh, yes , the spring has finally arrived and I just didn't have enough time to salute her! I was too busy...some daffodils...scented and not. Ruffled and plain. All beautiful .

Ca sa mut rasadurile ( rosii, ardei, castraveti, dovlecei, ludai ) din interior in gradina am avut nevoie de o roaba...Am realizat cu incintare ( ? ) ca am cam depasit orice limite anul acesta...

Carrying the seedlings ( tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, pumpkins) from inside to the garden I needed a wheelbarrow....I happily ( ?) realized that I've overhanded with them this year...

Muuult prea multe rosii pentru cele 7 straturi inaltate din gradina....trebuie sa gasesc rapid o solutie pentru ele, pentru toate.

Waaay too many tomatoes for my 7 raised beds....must find quickly a solution for all of them.

Asa arata iarba la "prima vedere" in primavara....incarcata cu flori micute albe ( majoritatea sunt de fapt ierburi medicinale : traista ciobanului, patlagina, macris, tataneasa, etc )

Hai sa va arat cum se monteaza, doar pentru ca diversitatea utilizarii lor este inepuizabila si ...prinde bine ;)
Let me show you how I set them on...just because they can be used in so many places....and it's good to know ;)

Introducere: ochetii se gasesc in diferite marimi, in diferite culori...ca voi sa-i puteti asorta cu piesa finala. Incepind de la 4mm pina la ....wow ! 12 mm la mine in tara sau 40mm ( rapizi ) in alte tari straine .LOL.
Argintii, aurii, negri sau cuprati .

Introduction : you can find eyelets in different sizes, in different colours....just good for you to can assort them with your piece. Starting from 4mm up to...wow!12 mm in my country or 40mm ( fast clip) in other countries.
Silver, gold, black or copper here and any other color you can think of abroad....

Dupa cum vedeti am in stoc cam tot ce se gaseste la noi in tara :D
As you can see my stock comprises about all I can find here in my country . LOL.

Recent am cumparat o marca noua, din magazinul KreativShop , asa ca acestia vor fi subiectii de azi . :) Sunt minunati , se lucreaza usor si sunt foarte accesibili ca pret .

Recently I buyed a new brand from KreativShop, so these will be today subjects. :) They are wonderful, they worked out easily and have an fair price.

Fiecare pachet de ocheti vine impreuna cu ustensila necesara montarii lor ( ustensila care are doua capete diferite : un perforator si un dorn pentru baterea ochetului ) plus un disc de metal care va tine in pozitia corespunzatoare ochetul la momentul baterii lui cu ciocanul . Oh, am uitat sa va spun : nu gasiti un ciocan in pachet, trebuie sa vi-l procurati dinainte :))
Each package of eyelets comes with a helping tool ( with two different ends : one for perforating, one for setting in the eyelet) and with a metal disc which will keep in proper position the eyelet when hammering over.
Oh, I forgot to tell you : you'll not find a hammer in the package, you will need to get one before starting. :))

Se incepe prin a perfora materialul unde se va pune ochetul. Se poate face gaura cu forfecuta sau cu unul din capetele ustensilei ajutatoare din pachet. Adica acesta :

Start by making the small hole in the fabric where you want your eyelet to go . With the tip of your small scissor or with one of the ends of the helping tool from the package. This one :

Atentie : se lucreaza pe spatele piesei .
Asezati prin gaura ochetul cu partea convexa spre fata materialului. Asezati saiba cu partea concava inspre sus si asezati totul in discul de metal . Se va potrivi la fix acolo. Apoi puneti deasupra capatul celalalt al uneltei ajutatoare ( vedeti imaginea ) si cu o miscare scurta si ferma loviti cu ciocanul peste "sandwich". Ochetul se va deschide frumos, ca o floare, peste saiba si va ramine fixat in material .
Aveti in continuare citeva imagini, dar fara material , doar ca sa se vada mai bine actiunea :

Attention : you will work from the wrong side of the piece.
Set the eyelet with the convex part on the right side of the fabric, trough the hole, set the small "washer" with the concave way up and put everything to stand right and properly into the metal disk round space. It will fit like a dream. Then put on top of this "sandwich" the setting end of the helping tool , and with a short and firm move hammer on it. The eyelet will open over the washer like a flower and will remain sett on the fabric.
You have here some steps images but without the fabric just to see better the action :

Eu pun o bucatica de fetru sub fiecare saiba doar ca sa fiu sigura ca materialul pretios nu va suferi de la partea metalica dupa lovitura cu ciocanul . Fetrul ramine in loc si da o tinuta mai buna partii montate.

I actually like to put a piece of felt under the washer just to be sure that the fabric will not suffer from the metal . It remain in place and gives a nice extra strenght for that spot.

Vedeti ? nu-i asa ce frumos ies ? eu as pune acum ocheti pe toate lucrurile :))
You see ? isn't it nice ? it's addictive, believe me. I would set eyelets on everything now :))

si de la o mina de hexagoane cusute ca incercare....sa vad cum e. Adictie totala .

and from a handfull of test sewed hexagons just to check the "feeling" . Total addiction.

Apoi a trebuit sa aleg tema lucrarii.

Toata lumea stie cit de mult imi doresc o casuta mica,intr-un loc linistit, plina de lucrusoare albe si albastre .

Nu mi-a trebuit mult pina ce am intrebat-o pe Mia daca imi da voie sa folosesc imaginea casutei si a gradinii ei in lucrarea mea.Am primit un raspuns emotionant si plin de bunavointa.

Mia este un suflet de aur. Vizitati blogul ei si va asigur ca veti fi fermecati de viata ei linistita precum am fost eu. Pentru totdeauna.

Programul Quilt assistant ( este free il puteti downloada ) m-a ajutat sa obtin macheta imaginii .

Am ales latura hexagonului de 1,8 cm si am obtinut 27 rinduri x 37 rinduri = 999 piese .

The Quilt Assistant software ( it is free, you can download it ) helped me to get the model-image of my work.

I choose to work with a 1.8cm side of the hexagon and I get 27 rows x 37 lines = 999 pieces .

apoi a inceput strinsul materialelor....Cea mai lunga faza ca timp. Pentru ca sa respect tehnica unui charm quilt veritabil, in aceasta lucrare nu exista doua bucatele de material identice .

Intre timp coseam fiecare bucatica primita.

Then began gathering the squares .The longest perioud of time was this .For respecting an original charm quilt technique there are no two fabric scraps alike in this quilt.

Meanwhile I was sewing everything that I had on hand.

am taiat cite un patratzel din fiecare bucata de material pe care o aveam in rezervele mele si in final m-am vazut nevoita sa apelez la colegele mele din Grup .

Mi-a fost jena sa lansez un apel international pentru strinsul peticelor ...

Spre final am reusit de am strins toate bucatelele necesare de verde ...da, de verde-iarba, caci aceasta este culoarea dominanta.

Numarul hexagoanelor cusute se inmulteste pe zi ce trece...

Then I cut a square from every single piece of fabric that I had on my stash. Finally I see myself obliged to ask for scraps from my Group colleagues.

I was too embarassed to ask for scraps internationally....

Through the end I did manage to get all those needed green squares. Yes, green is the major colour in the quilt. The sewed hexies are getting more and more....

In primul an ( caci da, au trecut 2 ani pina lucrarea sa fie gata ) coseam hexagoane in fiecare clipa de ragaz : in gradina, in pavilion, seara in fotoliu...

In the first year ( yes, there were 2 years of work ) I sewed hexies in every moment of relax : in the garden, in the pavillion, in the evening sitting in my armchair....

A fost o perioada cind nu am mai primit nici un patratzel de material asa incit lucrarea mea statea bine mersi , incompleta, pe panou....in tot acest timp ma ocupam de alte proiecte.

There was a gap in time when no scraps were received so my work was just lying on the wall board....meanwhile fooling around with other projects.

Apoi am ajuns la cusutul rindurilor intre ele....fiecare patratzel a fost nevoie sa fie cusut de celalalt doar pe fir drept. Nu in bias pentru ca se deformeaza lucrarea.

Then I get to sew the rows between each other. Each hexagon must be sewed by the previous one on straight line, not on bias, to not get a crooked work at finish.

Si nu a iesit deloc strimb, nu-i asa ? :D

And at finish it didn't seem to be wrong at all, isn't it ? :D

Apoi cu mare emotie am incercat sa aleg fundalul : albastru deschis sau crem ?

Then with great emotions I choose the background : blue or cream ?

Am fost foarte atrasa de albastru deschis ( pentru ca il ador ) dar a trebuit sa recunosc ca pe crem este mai potrivit pentru expunere intr-un living.

Apoi cu maaare emotie am trecut la aplicarea lucrarii pe materialul de fundal.

Multumesc , Smaranda, pentru toate sfaturile si tot suportul pe care mi l-ai oferit, pas cu pas, pe durata acestei lucrari !

I was attracted to blue ( because I love it ) but I must admit that on cream is more appropriate for hanging in a living ;)

Quiltingul si bindingul au curs una-doua deoarece eram oarecum contratimp : doream sa ofer cadou acest quilt sotului meu care implinea 50 ani.

Si uite ca aici, dupa 2 ani de la primele impunsaturi de ac, in data de 23 februarie 2011, intr-un restaurant din Geneva ( CH) , sotul meu il primeste cadou.

Mi se pare ca e mai mult decit incintat ;)

The quilting and the binding were flowing asap because I was kind of late : I intended to offer the quilt as a gift for my husband's 50 years anniversary .

And here, after two years from starting it, in 23 february 2011, in a fancy restaurant in Geneve ( CH), he received it .

Seems more than pleased, to me. ;)

And I, I am more then pleased seeing it hanging on the living room wall, remembering me, at each step nearby, that

"this is the life I want to live :a small house, a superb garden, thousands of flowers.Peacefully."

am descoperit pontul de a pune o bucatica de vatelina- pe care in prealabil am frecat-o in mina pentru a o incarca electric - linga lucrare si astfel toate capetele de ata stau lipite de ea....si mai putine ajung pe mocheta.

A LOT of stitches....

I discovered that rubbing a piece of synthetic wadding on its own just for getting that electric stage, is a wonderful way to keep all those annoying little thread ends out of the carpet. They stay put on the wadding.

Si o bunatate recent invatata : salata de avocado pe piine prajita.

Adica avocado, putin suc de lamiie, sos de soia, seminte de susan cit va lasa sufletul.

Servita pe feliute de piine -de casa- prajita.

I mean chunks of avocado, a little lime juice over, some soya sauce and sesame seeds. As much as you like.

Visez de ceva vreme la acest sal....

I'm dreaming for some time at this shawl....

Cum am gasit materialul potrivit , m-am apucat de lucru.

Nu e deloc usor sa lucrezi cu un triplu voal negru....nici usor, nici "curat ". Overlock-ul s-a umplut de scame marunte negre, ca un praf negru , arata ca dupa razboi .

As I found the proper fabric for it, I jumped in work.

It isn't easy to work with triple veil ....not easy nor clean. The overlock filled with small particles, like a black dust...it looks just like after war....

Initial am incercat sa inlatur praful negru cu peria de fardat obrajii, dar tot aspiratorul a fost decisiv.

Initially I tried to push off the black dust with the cheeks paint brush, but finally yet the vacuum cleaner was decisive.

Dupa ce am surfilat nici mai mult nici mai putin de 20 metri de banda pe ambele parti ( deci faceti voi totalul ;) ) , am trecut la faza de incretit. Mai aveam putin si mi se incretea si parul. haha.

After I serged no more or less than 20 metres of fabric strip on both sides ( you make the calculations for yourself ;) ) I started to ruflle it. I had just a little bit more for my hair to curl, also LOL...

Piciorusul special mi-a fost de mare ajutor la incretit ....chair daca m-a fortat sa cos incet ....ceea ce pentru 20 m liniari a insemnat minute bune de tzaca-tzaca -paca!, tzaca-tzaca-paca! haha.... ....

The ruffler foot was a great help....even that it forces me to sew slowly....this means considerably time spent for ruffle a 20 metres long strip...

apoi a urmat din nou o faza de surfilare...:D .

Mda, adica tocmai dupa ce am terminat de curatat "praful" negru de pe overlock :D ....ca la orice model nou fazele tehnice pot sa difere de cele proiectate .

Then again one overlock phase...:D

Yep, I mean just after I've finished cleaning the black dust from the overlocker :D...at every new model/pattern the technical phases could slightly differ from the projected one.

Dar la final , am obtinut ce am dorit : eleganta, semi-transparenta, acel "chic" retro.... un sal pentru ocazii speciale, un sal de asezat peste umerii goi si parfumati ....

Finally I've got what I've dreamed of : elegance, semi-transparency, that retro "chic" look ....a shawl for special occasions, a shawl to put on your naked shoulders...perfumed naked shoulders....

Are 200 cm lungime si 56 cm latime. 7 benzi incretite pe toata lungimea .

It has 200 cm long and 56 cm width.7 ruffled strips along.

Asa cum am re-botezat-o, am si imbracat-o ;) ...Alb si putina dantela in jurul gitului. E drept ca si-a pierdut din senzualitate, dar pentru un atelier de lucru e mult mai bine asa ;)

Inca caut un picior/stand pentru ea...poate gasesc pe undeva un cuier vechi din lemn....

As I renamed her I do re-dressed her :). In white and a little lace around the neck. It's true that she suddenly lost her sensuality but for a working studio is much better this way ;).

I'm still looking for a leg/stand for her....perhaps and old wood clothes hanger would fit...still looking....

si se mai vede clar ca mai am doar 4 rinduri de cusut ( yupiiii! ) ...apoi incepe partea a doua , adica de scos insailarea, hirtia, de realizat sandwich-ul , de quiltuit....deh, munca multa, nu gluma !

and it is obviously , too, that I have only 4 more lines to go ( yupiii! ) ...then starts the second part, meaning taking out the basting lines, the paper, making the sandwich, quilting....well, a lot of work still to go !

si cind stau in fotoliu si cos, nu-mi sta mintea decit la proiecte noi : esarfe, quilturi, portfarduri, pernite de ace....dar sunt foarte limitata de timp asa ca deocamdata doar fac planuri ...ca sa nu spun DIN NOU ca visez :))

and when I'm handsewing in my armchair , my mind is flying at new projects, new ideeas : scarfes, quilts, pouches, pincushions....but I'm so restraint in time that for now I'm just planning....not to say AGAIN : I'm dreaming :))

Si ca final , pentru ca pe lista mea de "pretentii" de anul acesta, printre altele (la fel de demne de mentionat, dar nu acum pentru ca lista e luuunga ) este testarea unei varietati mai mari de retete "yummy"....ei bine, pastele cu sos de gorgonzola si rucola sunt chiar yummyyy...Am grilluit -extra fata de reteta- rosiile cherry pentru o mai puternica aroma.

Cine poate sa spuna ca nu mincam sanatos ? :D

and as a final note, just because on my "have to do this year" list, among others ( of the same importance or dignity to be mentioned here, but with other occasion because the list is loooong ) well, is testing a large varietes of yummy recipes....well, those pasta with gorgonzola sauce and ruccola are indeed yummyyy...

I've just extra grilled the cherry tomatoes for a better flavour.

Who can say that we don't eat healthy ? :D

Povestea noastra de Craciun.....

in acelasi colt din living am instalat anul acesta un micut brad "eco"...acelasi farmec , aceeasi semnificatie si mai ales am avut sufletul usor ca am salvat de la moarte un bradulet in dezvoltare.

Our Christmas story ....

in the same corner in living , this year we installed an "eco" Christmas tree....same charm, same meanings but moslty we have an easy soul just because we save from death a young tree from somewhere in the woods.

Aceleasi ornamente in jocul clasic de culori : rosu, auriu.
Same classic coloured golden-red ornaments.

   Ca in fiecare an, de Craciun - ca si de Pasti- se stringe toata familia la tara, la soacra, in casa mare.
   Brad natural, cu luminarele, imens. Aici are, de fapt, loc marele dezmat cu cadouri :
   "A venit Mosuuuuu' ! " :D
   .... toata lumea, la sosire, lasa sub brad cite un mic cadou pentru toti ceilalti din familie....in total suntem cam 12 persoane deci se aduna un munte de cadouri....

Each Christmas - as for Easter- all the family gathers at my mother-in-law big house in the country.

My main gift for M. was accordingly to his last love for green ( apple-lime green ) :D

we have a saying here : " carefully what you wish , for may come true " :))

The package was wrapped in a hot pink paper identical with the colour of ibuprofen pills I took during quilting for back pains :D

ei bine , cred ca cel mai potrivit nume pentru noul quilt ar fi.. GreenBerries :D ....

are 2.0m x 1,60m si da, are un bloc al umilintei ( stinga sus , aparut dintr-o simpla greseala de taiere )

well, I think that this new quilt should be named ..Greenberries :D....it has 2.0 m x 1.60m and yes it has an humility block ( up in the left corner, due to a simple wrong cut )

este quiltuit free-motion pe vatelina de bumbac Freudenberg iar spatele este din finet alb. Pentru top am folosit toate fat-quarter-urile si alte mici bucati de verde din rezerva de materiale plus 4 m de alb in alb cu diverse imprimeuri Faye Burgos for Marcus Fabric, in total cu putin peste 8m material .
It is free-motion quilted on 100% cotton batting made by Freudenberg , and the back is white flannel.
For the top I used all the green fat-quarters and leftover scraps I had in stash and 4 metres of white in white ( different prints ) from Faye Burgos for Moda fabrics, totally a little over 8 meters of fabric in top.

Pe toata durata serii au fost momente frumoase, emotionante...ca in fiecare Craciun !

During the evening there were beautiful moments, touching...like every Christmas!

ne-a lipsit Alberta - cea mica - care a avut program de munca inclusiv in data de 24 decembrie, dar a fost prezenta printre noi indirect prin pozele pe care ni le-a trimis:

We missed Alberta - the youngest - she worked even in 24 of December- but she was there with us indirectly from the pictures she sent for us

Apoi , in ciuda timpului petrecut atit de bine, a mincarii bune si a risetelor si glumelor, seara de Craciun a luat sfirsit.... in zilele urmatoare, acasa la noi, am luat citeva cine speciale cu copiii :

Then, despite all the good time, good food , laughs and jokes, the Christmas evening finished....next days, at our home, we have a few special dinners with childrens :

la fel am ris si am glumit, ne-am simtit bine ...vacantele de Craciun sunt atit de scurte !
in the same manner we laugh, we joked we had good time....Christmas holidays are so short !

sau am stat foarte seriosi in poze :D ( doar pentru ca unii dintre noi nu suntem fotogenici :D )
or we stayed very seriously for pictures :D ( just because some of us aren't photogenics :D )

Craciunul inseamna pentru noi familie, sarbatoare, clipe pretioase petrecute impreuna.

Sper ca si voi ati petrecut la fel de placut si de bine....

Si pentru ca tot suntem deja in anul 2011 va doresc : Un An Nou Fericit, plin de bucurii si pace !

Am fost "atit!" de aproape de ideea de a-mi inchide blogul....ma simteam presionata de faptul ca nu am postat nici un articol de ....1 luna de zile !! presionata zi de zi, ceea ce mi-a displacut la maxim....neplacere care la un moment dat a atins o culme cind mi-am spus simplu : "-gata, inchid blogul "...o tristete adinca m-a imbracat pentru citeva zile....ca si cum nu ar fi fost de ajuns stress-ul si obligatiile.....apoi am revenit asupra lui si l-am rasfoit putin....a luat nastere acum 4 ani , dupa intoarcerea dintr-o vacanta frumoasa...
I was "this close" to the ideea of closing for ever my blog. I felt myself under pressure due the fact that I didn't write a post over 1 month ! pressured day by day and this I totally disliked it. At some point, in this thoughts-war, I reached a peak when I said : "- ready, I'm closing my blog ! "....a deep sadness overwhelmed me for several days...as if stress and obligations were'nt enough....then I come back on it and browsed a little....
I started it 4 years ago, at returning from a beautiful holiday....

Am re-citit cu atita drag unele din articole...am re-vazut suflete dragi pierdute pe drumul vietii .....am ris la unele patanii.....ma regaseam in fiecare rind, ma re-descopeream incetul cu incetul....eram mai tinara, mai naiva...priveam altfel viata si lumea din jur. Si toate astea in timp de doar 4 ani....vi se intimpla si voua ?
I reread with so much love some posts...I saw dearest souls lost along the way of life...I laugh at some points....I found myself in every line, I rediscover myself slowly...much younger, more naive...looking trough different eyes at life and happenings around me. And all these in just 4 years...does it happens to you, too ?

Apoi am inceput sa imi aduc singura, in lungile discutii interioare, argumente pro-blog. Am ajuns la concluzia ca, nefiind un blog de tutoriale, nici unul de retete, nici macar de esenta religioasa, nu ma obliga nimeni si nimic sa scriu atunci cind lumea se asteapta! E blogul MEU, jurnalul meu, amintirile mele ....scriu atunci cind simt ca pot, cind simt ca imi face placere, cind sunt linistita si cind, pe deasupra tuturor, doresc sa ramina imprimata pentru mai tirziu o amintire frumoasa. Blogul MEU :) .
Then I started to convince myself, in my long and boring disscusions with myself, to give pro-blog arguments. I concluded simply that being not a tutorial blog, nor a recipe one or at least a religious one, nobody and nothing can make me write when people expects to ! It is MY blog, my diary, are my memories...I will write when I feel that I can, when I feel that pleases me, when I'm serene and above all, when I want to keep a beautiful memory printed here for future. MY blog :).

Inauntru, in "coltul" meu - de fapt nu e un colt ci e o intreaga camera, doar pentru mine, pentru visele mele si pentru lucrurile care poarta insemnul "made by tiktakro"....ei bine, aici inauntru este cald si insorit ( insorit din cauza becurilor economice "lumina naturala" - pe care le folosesc la maxim, adica ard toata ziua doar pentru placerea de a avea o camera insorita ) ...

Am spus la inceput ca este cald, nu-i asa ? ...de aproape 15 ani am visat la o soba pe lemne...pentru a coace piinea facuta in casa sau alte bunatati...si pentru a simti acea caldura speciala insotita de stralucirea focului in apropierea mea...Ei bine, acum ma bucur din plin de aceste vise devenite realitate.
Stiu ca soba este foarte contrastanta ca si culoare cu restul camerei, dar gama de culori din care puteam alege a fost foarte restrinsa....si am ales acest albastru- singurul din lista - cu gindul tot la viitor : o casuta mica alba cu putin albastru :d...albastru deschis, e drept, dar ce-are a face putin contrast, nu ? :d V-am spus ca aici pot foarte bine si sa visez, nu-i asa ? :)

I said it's warm, didn't I ? :d ....for over 15 years I dreamed of having a wood-stove....for baking bread and other goodies and also for that special feeling of warm fire blaze near me....well, now I fully enjoy all those dreams. I know that the stove is much too contrasting in colour with the rest of the room, but the range of colours for this product was very limited....and I choose the only existing blue, thinking of future....a small white home with a little pale blue around ....Didn't I tell you that here I can dream on ? :)

Am dorit sa impart cu voi o mica parte din lumea mea din interior, o parte din calmul si linistea care ma invaluie , aici in acest loc...Ascult focul, simt caldura, ma bucur si zimbesc ! acum nici doua minute am implinit 41 de ani ....Viata e minunata, nu-i asa ?! :)

I wanted to share with you a part of my inside world, a part of my calm and serenity that here, in my studio, overwhelm me... I listen the fire, feel the warm , enjoy and smile !less then two minutes ago I turned 41 years... :) Life is wonderful, isn't it ?! :)

Pot spune ca sunt rasfatata sau nu ?
Am primit un cadou surpriza de ziua mea - putin in avans, dar zau ca nu ma supar :))
...si din nou m-am indragostit de ...mov ;). Nu se putea altfel, vazindu-le pe acestea :

I received a surprise package for my birthday- a little bit in advance but hey, I don't mind! at all :))
...and again I felt in love with ...purple ;)....it's impossible not to, seeing these :

Csilla mi-a tricotat un sal Venus intr-un joc absolut superb de culori mov inchis -roz-gri , un sal la care tot visam de mult prea mult timp ,cam de prin vara....Trebuie sa recunosc : nu sunt intr-atit de priceputa in tricotaj incit sa ma lansez intr-un model atit de complicat...

Iar ca sa nu calatoreasca singurel, mi-a facut o bereta si o esarfa triunghiulara din cea mai fina si mai pufoasa lina merinos pe care am atins-o vreodata....Pe deasupra e si mov ;). Si e vopsita manual ! minunata.

Csilla knitted for me a Venus shawl - in wonderful range of dark purple-pink-grey colours- because I dreamed about one for too long time, like since summer...

I must recognise : I'm not that skilled in knitting to launch into such an intricate model...and beside the shawl I received a beret and a triangle scarf made in the most fluffy and soft merinos wool I ever touched. And above all, it's purple, too ;) And it's hand dyed . Wonderful.
